Song: Maybe Tomorrow (4:33) by
Stereophonics from You Gotta Go There to Come Back
As I slowly ease back into full body movement, I
enjoy a gentle stretch followed by patterned upper body motion including rib
circles, shoulders rolls and drops, and the occasional head slide. Fluid arms swim through space at varying
degrees of frequency and intensity while floreos and hand undulations add
accents to a hopeful tune.
Nearing the end of this small exploration, my body
sets into a new rhythm:
-- With body facing the front left diagonal so left
hip is fully exposed to the audience
1-4: Lift left hip (with same foot following
placement) front-back-front-front (in relation to body)
5-6: Left hip maya walk to the audience
7-8: Left hip maya turn
-- With body facing the front right diagonal so
right hip is fully exposed to the audience
1-4: Lift right hip back-front-back-back
5-6: Right hip maya walk to the audience
7-8: Right hip maya turn
