Song: The Little Things (3:44) by
Colbie Caillat from Coco
Today I received the sweetest compliment, “You
dance like a butterfly flies - with grace and reckless abandon.” Wow!
To think someone sees that in my movement! I’m simply stunned and blessed.
What I’ve decided is it’s really all about the
little things. It’s the flick of your
hand, the flutter of your eye, the smooth and seamless transition from one
movement to the next. It’s ensuring your
costume matches the flow of your movement and making a connection with the
audience. It’s about being authentic in
your performance and being gracious with those who enjoy you and your
dancing. It’s maintaining your
“character” throughout a piece and even while interacting with someone after a
performance. It’s keeping the magic and
mystery alive!
