Creative Combos - YWCA - 03/15/2012


This fun combination was created by students in class on March 15, 2012 (YWCA).  We began with each student drawing a movement from a basket.  Then students were paired up to create a short combo using each move.  Finally, all combos were strung together to create the following choreography.


Start with weight centered; facing audience.

Combo A
Created By: Karen and Pam

1-4:   R Hip Lift Ronde de Jambe (front, side, back).  Step back.
5-8:   L Hip Lift Ronde de Jambe (front, side, back).  Step back.
1-8:   Up/Down Shimmy with Painting Arms (to the front).
1-4:   R Pivot Bump to face the back.
1-8:   Up/Down Shimmy with Painting Arms (to the side).
5-8:   L Pivot Bump to face the front.
1-8:   Up/Down Shimmy with Painting Arms (2 to the front, 2 to the side).


Combo B
Created By: Denise and Krista

1-4:   Vertical Rib Circle (R-Lift-L-Center).
5-6:   Table Top Arms.  Shoulder Roll (R-front, L-front).
7-8:   Table Top Arms.  Shrug shoulders up-center.
1-8:   Double Rock (x4) with ½ turn to face back.
1-4:   Hip Slide (R-L-R-L).
5-6:   Cross R over L and ½ turn to face front while drawing arms up through center of body.
7-8:   Shrug shoulders up-center as if to say, “I don’t know.”
